Posted by Train Man Paul : Metro-North's Best Conductor FOR ALL 3 LINES!!! on Wed Nov 18 21:25:06 2009 We pick things up at our now drizzly approach to CP 244 ("SAGA", or Saugatuck River Bridge), which heralds our arrival in the town of Westport!!   Straight ahead at the west facing signals, we see the split point derails referred to in the earlier posts.....   South Norwalk, CP 241.....  Old semaphore mounts in the catenary in CP 241.....  So-No Tower.....  We are a hit in South Norwalk!! The railfans love us!! :-D (Anyone here know these people???).....   Now coming up on Stamford.....  "STAM" Tower (S.S. 38+).....  Plasser American MTW-100 Catenary Maintenance Vehicle, in the "Passenger Yard".....  And as we pull to a stop on Track 3 at Stamford, a local arrives at its last stop on Track 4.....   Photo op!! Close ups!!.....  Since we had a couple minutes to spare as we arrived a few early, we get a little bit of cab action inside the 7046.....     (ATTENTION NETO, DUTCHRAILNUT, ZMAN179 & RAILMAN......ARE YOU READY TO ACCEPT THE MULTI-LEVEL CHALLENGE??? ARE YOU GUYS GOOD ENOUGH??? WANNA TAKE HER FOR A SPIN??? :-D) Yet another leg of the journey done!!! The next and FINAL part comes up next!!! Having fun so far??? Hope so!! :-) |
