Yes, like for here, there are cases where the 'victim' like the drunk person that lost his legs and got a few millions of dollars for his own stupidity. if the jury didn't side with him, he would not have won that much money from the MTA.Yes I understand he'll need the money because he can't work again, but it was his own fault he lost his legs. |

Railways *are* required to fence in the ROW when the line is adjacent to a public area such as a road or a sidewalk. They are not required to do so when the line transverses open countryside or in areas away from sidewalks.Or at least this is my understanding, although this may only be a local ordinance or something.
