Actually 3950 was part of a pair that was saved for work service. I guess they decided to scrap them finally when they retired the R-40M's and saved one of their pairs for work service. |

The final handful of R38's are at 207 getting prepared for reefing now. 4028/4029 will be the last of their kind left. |

To me, Borgaschmord trains are a mix of different IND/BMT SMEEs. Unlike their IRT counterparts, some of these fleets don't blend well cosmetically except for R-16/27-30, R-32/38 or R-40M/42 combinations. |

Thanks :PShe and I were sentimental when the slants ran last. It was on both our lines for the A (prior GOH) and the (post GOH) L and in the end the slants came back to the A to serve out their remaining days. So they been a part of our lives for much of our childhood and even adulthood. I'm gonna put together some sort of music vid with the pictures and footage from the transit museum when I get back tomorrow :D |
