It runs TODAY at 5PM on channel 20 in Connecticut or anyplace where "ThisTV" channel is available ... be sure to strap yourself into a chair before watching though so you can't reach anything to throw at the teevee ... :) |

I don't normally record terrestrial teevee and the signal's a bit spotty but if somehow I can actually record it will let you know ... working on wiring up the cheesebox now. :) |

I am surprised though I always thought Edward James Olmos (?sp) was a good actor surprised he took a lemon, but then he did do American Me which IMHO was very well done and accurate in terms of how prison gangs operate. Interesting tidbit is that after filming American Me, he had to go into hiding for awhile and have bodyguards with him as EME, or the Latin Kings (can't remember right now which one) wanted him dead for a certain scene in American Me. |

Actually, I'm coming to realize that after THIS year's Pelham, this movie is no longer as bad as I thought it was prior ... I guess Travolta managed to lower my expectations. Still though, when I worked at the teeyay, we had a mechanical monstrosity which could polish the rails. It could even polish a turd but I think it'd be hard pressed to polish THIS one. :)Behold the Speno rail grinder and turd polisher!

I think they're using something "newer" now ... that thing dates back to the opening of the IND I think. It was an AMAZING thing to see, something straight out of a Ed Wood movie with dozens of sparkler wheels under each car throwing more sparks in all directions than a redbird in s snowstorm. Even had tanker cars on the tail to put out the fires as it went by. :)And as to Travolta, that's probably the reason the newer movie wasn't so great ... he's no better an actor than he was on Kotter. :( |
