Wait for Freight!

It isn't only on the freight railroads where Amtrak trains are made to wait for freight trains. This morning at around 11:00 AM, Acela 2159 had to wait at Guilford station, on the Northeast Corridor for Providence & Worcester train NR-2 to go east, with about 20 loads
of stone for Old Saybrook. There was only one track open between
here and Branford, a distance of about 9.5 miles, due to brush cutting by Amtrak.
As you can hear, my dog, Dino doesn't like to see freights delaying passenger trains anymore than I do! I'll have some still shots later.

Enjoy,

Nice footage but WTF? Amtrak owns the tracks.

How ridiculous. In Western Europe freight plays very much second fiddle to passenger trains.
