One day while entering the Whitehall Street stop at the tip of Manhattan, a woman asked me how to get to 14th Street. So I asked, Manhattan or Brooklyn? I worked in Brooklyn then, so I did not think the question out of line, there is a 14th Street in Brooklyn. I was often asked how to get to Fulton Street, and so I followed with the same question. In any case, she looked at me as if I had asked a very strange question, and grumbled down the stairs. Folks have got to have some sense of geography, at least to know what borough that they are traveling to.Mike |

Sometimes people have to word their questions better. Many times people would ask where they'd get the L train to 14 Street. I'd ask what Avenue they want. After all there are no stations on the L line called 14 Street. There's 1 Ave, 3 Ave, Union Sq, 6 Ave and 8 Ave. When they told me what Ave, I gave them an answer. When they were (very) annoyed I couldn't read their minds where, I'd tell them 1 Ave which likely was the last station they wanted. |

You haven't seen it since because apparently it does not exist. The only mention of the word "Bedford" on his entire site is this:The original Brighton line ended in 1878 at Bedford Station, at the corner of Atlantic Ave and Franklin Ave |
