I rode on them during the Parade of Trains five years ago. They ran great, but the Lo-Vs just don't tug at my heartstrings the way the R-1/9s do. Maybe it's because I rode on the latter quite a bit in the late 60s, but never rode on any prewar IRT equipment while it was still around. |

I would've loved to have taken that famous 'quartet shot' on that day of the parade of trains.I don't think I have a video of the Low V running from that day and missed out on a chance of a video of the Triplex running. |
