I've wanted to say it, but I have been trying to find a nice way to put it. That 'Comet IV' looks, well, bad. You should pick up some model paints and do it right. If you get the right paints, you could possibly paint the doors on the train. And if you're going to take close-up shots of your trains running on your carpeted floor, grab a Dustbuster first. The dirt on the floor is a foreground distraction. |

Also, the cars were made the way they are because the center doors would have to be made completely from scratch and the carbody cutup to put them in. My way of doing, you make a mistake you can grab a new piece of card and start again.BTW, if you or Weinberg would like to donate a couple of pairs of IHP Arrow IIIs all painted and RTR....... |

I'm saying, with the right painting skills, you could paint the doors on the sides of the car, without the need for the cardboard. |

I had an HO layout for many years in the '60's, '70's and early '80's. It brought me a lot of pleasure. Enjoy yourself, and your layout, and ignore the critics. It's a lot of fun! |

That's a paper or plastic card with the door drawn on in marker. He could have avoided defacing a perfectly good Walthers model and instead simply ordered cars from IHP. |
