Nathan's Hot Dog Contest |
Posted by Hart Bus on Sat Jul 4 13:46:08 2009 A little less than an hour ago Joey Chestnut defended his title by eating 68 Hot Dogs in 10 minutes, edging out Kanieru Kobyashi (sp?) who ONLY finished 64.5. Third place was somebody who consumed 54 dogs.ESPN showed shots of Stillwell Avenue station, and the MC announced that Eric "Badlands" Booker is a conductor on the #7 line. No word on how many dogs the C/R consumed, but according to one website, there were over 800 dogs and 19,000 calories. Pepto-Bismol anyone ????? |

I was there on 6/27 - everything was PERFECT - the dog spat back at me when I bit it (a sure sign of perfect cooking); they had the German kraut (with the caraway seeds), and the cheez fries were LOADED.wayne |

Bill, you used a picture from last year or two years ago. Kobyiashi doesn't have orange hair anymore. It is now black. There is a shot of him after his defeat, with an expression on his face as if to say "what the hell did I do to myself---get me some Alka-Seltzer and a toilet with a large capacity" |
