They will be unable to turn the G trains at 4th Ave. The "express" tracks will be out of service from Bergen to Church till FURTHER NOTICE. That means: "We don't know how long that will be, we'll let you know when they're back or when there is some deviation to the sructural rebuild". |

Yeah, it is a rare sight to see a G past Court Square. I'd wish that when the G is not running past Court Square on the weekends they would either run the R more frequent or send an express local every now and then. But, doesn't make much difference though because it seems that when the G does run to Continental, it usually is an R then 2-3 minutes later a G. |

On the new work programs (we are scheduled to start picking Monday), the G still goes to CTL nights and weekends. So the earliest Court Sq. can be the official 24/7 Queens terminal will be mid 2010. Which also means Jamaica will (99% likely) still supply R46's till then.Of course various GO's will still necessitate the G terminating at Court Sq. various nights and weekends. Currently the express tracks are usually o/s weekends between Roos & CTL due to roadbed replacement. E/F/R share the local track with the R (to 179) so as not to cause delays with fumigation and crew reliefs at CTL. |

If said General Order was rescinded, then I'll take my orders from that since that is updated information! This has not happened. It could happen tho, I've seen GO's canceled at the last minute. They can rescind this one and issue another as well due to new, updated operational instructions to personnel. Press Releases can be changed and General Orders can be rescinded. It happens often. That is my point. Let's not make this thread into a "Who's got the biggest balls" contest, OK? It's going to have to be reefed anyway. |

What I heard we MIGHT be doing is picking again sometime starting in September For a 12/09 pick that will start after X-Mass. The only Holiday's we are going to Picking for in this pick are Labor Day, ThanksGiving and X-Mass. This way the B Division can be back on track with the A Division. |
