They're just repainted end bonnets, replacing glass, adding mylar shields, and fixing any outstanding mechanical issues. Nothing too major being done.I think the same is going on with the R68's as well. |

Yeah I got on an F train yesterday and I noticed the new floors and most of all, new windows with the plastic covering. That scratchitti and etching was such an eyesore. It's still around on the older trains such as the R32, 38, 40, 42 and 44 but they are gonna be gone soon so it doesn't matter. Although the R44 are getting new windows as well as the 68s |
