The crowd reaction was great - lots of hooting and hollering. Mostly it was love for a particular train line or Redbirds, and there was also a group chanting, "MTA! MTA!" There were still a few people who didn't get the whole reefing part, however.We had a lot of photographers snapping pictures in pre-parade gathering area and quite a few people stopped us for pictures afterwards. Have found a bunch of them on Flickr so far - will probably do another search tomorrow. I'm just still trying to figure out who yelled "Amanda" from the crowd - when I turned around, it was two guys, but I couldn't see their faces clearly. They were standing on the north side of Surf. |

Maybe next year you can wear those cars on your bodies, and ride bikes, and it will be cool, or you can do a chineese dragon type thing, and have a band play the A train music. One thing i noticed about this parade was that it generally seemed rather disorganized, and had little music, but it was nice though. I was surprised to see the slant, i was just expecting a redbird. But i was also expecting to see girls in swimsuits carriying the cars, like in all the other "floats". |
