I have seen exactlyone sketch of the R-39 proposal but I can't remember where. When the NYC rolling stock book was being done one of the editors was also searching in vain for it. Are these little GIFs your impression of what it would have looked like? |

There was a photoshop of one posted somewhere a while ago, I think it was here. I used that pic and what was done during the GOH of the R38 to make the post-GOH version of it. The pre-GOH version as was the pic IIRC, is basically an R36WF dressed up like an R38. |

Here's another wonderful bit of Wikinonsense that has been irritating me recently: The mainstream position of historical linguistics is that genetic continuity does not imply linguistic continuity and that theories of a literal "military conquest" have fallen into disfavour with most supporters of the theory of a Chalcolithic origin of Indo-European. The time frame proposed by PCT is far beyond mainstream estimates, by a factor of at least 500%, and the hypothesis is not taken seriously in Indo-European studies. |
