Based on various posts I've read, it looks like the R32s and 38s still have a couple more years left in service. Their GOHs were quite more successful than those for the 40s and 42s. To the unitiated, a GOHed 32 or 38 looks several years newer than a GOHed 40 or 42.Of course, the GOHed 44s look and run older than anything. |

By looking out the railfan window in virtually every E train, you will clearly see there is a relay track (actually an extra run thru track) there. During the construction of the 63rd St. connector it was restored, albeit a bit shorter than previously, but you can easily get a full length train in there. |

They'll work out something. I don't see much concern here for crews with regular picked jobs who miss out on their lunch periods when the railroad "blows up" or when they have unrealistic schedules and the dispatcher puts them leaving the terminal back in place eventhough they arrived late. |

They might want to send R160/A cars to serve the E route, or perhaps the new 'R179' cars, depending on how many doors per car there are. Were it not for fears of increased dwell times, they would use 75' cars on E trains right now, I imagine, customarily, instead of once in a blue moon as it the present practice. |

Yeah, I couldn't imagine a sizable number of the current 75 footers on the E under its present route. Dwell times would definitely hold up Queens Blvd big-time duing rush hours. My guess is that they'll move any remaining 32s (or 38s ??) to the E until either R-160s or as you mentioned, new 75' cars with 5 doors arrive. |

Actually, the R-1/9's and the R-11's, when operating originally on the BOT-operated BMT Division, had those same front roll destination signs. They had such readings like "Queens Plaza/Via Bridge" and "Queens Plaza/Via Tunnel" as an example, so it is possible that one on them on #1575's one front bulkhead might come from one of those two types.-William A.
