The train could have lurched when they pulled the cord, and the undercover cop bumps into the person next to him. In bumping, the undercover cop's gun accidentally goes off, shooting the 20-cents-a-trick hooker in the chest. She, in turn, falls on top of one of the little boys, suffocating him. The boy's mother then faints in shock, cracking her head open on a pole.

How is that less thrilling?

Hmmmmm.. It might be getting just a little too close to Airplane! though...

The front cab window is broken out in order to join two pieces of pipe together? That sounds like you're talking about Money Train.

What do you mean?

Right scene, wrong film. The joining of the two pipes was in Pelham 1-2-3, the movie you said you were watching.

The scene is when the highjackers received word that the money has arrived. Now it was time for them to abandon the train giving the police the impression the still were aboard. That's when Mr. Head Cold is on the track joining two pipes making the R-22s ZPTO.

No joining of pipes in Money Train.

Someone once posted what cars were in the museum train. I was able to make out three numbers on the DVD: 800, 1208 and 1802. 401 was sitting in Jamaica Yard as a schoolcar, so it's not there. I'm still trying to figure out which car got its storm door window kicked out. It had to be either 100, 103, 381 or 484 - unless 484 was already decked out in that fancy-schmancy two-tone green.

True but the (6) train goes thru the City Hall Loop not South Ferry unless it were to switch to the express tracks.

IIRC, Mr. Blue asked for all signals to be clear and all switches set to South Ferry. Now, at the rate of speed the car was going, switching probably would have caused a derailment, but I guess they were just lucky.
