But the place has a name. It is Grand Central Terminal. It is written all over the place. If they want to throw "station" on the end and call it "Grand Central Terminal Station", good for them. But at least open your eyes and ears and get the name right. |

But I don't think I have ever hear anyone say "Grand Central Terminal"....ever. I too have seen the signs....but really, I don't think your average NYer ever gave it a thought. The old joke always was, when a place is very busy, someone would say, "Gee, this is like Grand Central Station".Technically, don't get me wrong, you are correct.....however, I doubt more than a few people ever gave it a thought. |

As far as the addresses are concerned, as on your infomercial example, the post office in that area is called Grand Central Station. Almost all post offices have station as their suffix. |
