The fact that MTA made a mistake doesn't mean you should.Besides, that really misses the point of the thread. My point is that MTA's customers can post whatever they like, and that includes what they see on the trains. You, on the other hand, are obligated to exercise discretion and judgment about what you post. That is part of your responsibility. If you resign from the TA, then, absent some contract language binding on you after you leave, you can post whatever you want. I don't see Train Dude worrying about this the way you do. That should tell you something. |

Perhaps the conductor didn't give a flying fuck about anyone "pounding on the doors". Few do that initially. The normal reaction to this scenerio is to curse and wait until the conductor hopefully opens the right side. If he doesn't, he hears it after the train closes down and leaves. |

The elderly or handicapped backtracking to, say, 90th or 82nd were given a reprieve. How many would have known that and remained on the train. Most uneducated riders would get off at Junction Blvd. And they'd have to do the same thing at Willets Point. This C/R screwed up. Reporting it to the MTA may have been excessive, but no employee has the right to rag on someone who does. The employee fucked up here, and that's just not acceptable. |
