Posted by heypaul on Thu Jan 11 20:27:01 2007 With the threat of a MetroNorth strike looming, new MTA Chief Elliot "Scooter" Sander has been going around to many MetroNorth facilities, shaking hands and smiling with union workers. click on this to go to article The very positive response to Chairman Sander's visit with the troops was the reason given for his becoming a correspondent on the highly esteemed "Transit Transit" monthly show. On the February program, he will go on a trip to a factory that makes chocolate Valentine Day hearts. There are tentative plans for him to join SubChatters on their "Farewell to the R40's Trip" this coming Sunday. |

If he runs into the usual suspects on a train, he knows where the breaker panels are and it will be "everybody WALK." :)I have a good feeling about this guy ... you can get a whole lot more out of your people by glad-handing and DOING something about the situation down there than by a whole ream of DAN's. Maybe he'll REALLY impress the troops by sending Kalikow down for a whiz test. :) |
