Bennett Levin credits his wife Vivian with the idea last year when they ran the first modern Liberty Limited. Bennett has a soft spot in his heart for military men and women who sacrifice so much in service to our country.Bennett Levin and son Eric are owners of Juniata Terminal Company in Philadelphia which owns the Tuscan Red E8's and Private Varnish. 2005 Liberty Limited

I wish our trains still had colored liveries instead of boring stainless steel (NYC subways included).I noticed the next-to-last Juniata car seems to have no exits at either end of the car. I know it was common for long-distance cars to have doorways at only one end, but I couldnt remember seeing one with no doors. What are the rules about that? |

I called Amtrak though and they told me it was leaving Philly 12:15 today. Oh well. What time did it leave Philly last night? I take it the Juniata Terminal train is still supposed to leave at noonish? |

They left DC at 1:03PM and passed through Newark, DE at 2:24PM. There were 2 other railfans there to capture the moment as well. Very beautiful train. I'll get the video up sometime in the distant future. Also got video of a few Acela's and regionals, as well as a Silver Service southbound. |
