Yes, I have, and no, I'm not confused. You are confusing your own experience with everyone else's.

Just as information: A characteristic of someone with Asperger's or Autism is that he/she cannot relate to others, and cannot conceive of others feeling differently.

Think about that...

Maybe you cannot see it, but most people on this board find that you have serious issues communitating with others, getting quite frustrated when people dont agree with exactly what you say. going nuts and insulting everyone you are talking with is NOT an effective way of proving a point. It IS an effective way to show people that you have no ability to communicate.

False. A few foamers get frustrated with me, but that's really on them. I have occasionally been rough with a few people, but I point out behavior. Don't like it? Change behavior. Simple.

Well, I'm assuming that the R160a is essentially a clone of the R142b with some extra doohickeys installed like one of those little pine tree thingys on the windshield. If it is, then I automatically know that as soon as the rails get wet, I'm gonna have to say my prayers as soon as the anti-lock brakes kick in.
10 car marker? They might have to create a 14. Not too mention all of the bucking that the 142b does, I hope they ironed out those kinks with the 160a.

When I sit down on an R-142 seat, the seat jabs me sharply in the back, at a point where my back does not bend. It is about as uncomfortable as a seat could possibly be.

I also experience the same, also if you're tall sometimes you have to cross your legs when sitting since the seats seem a bit lower than the older Redbird type.

Yes, I've noticed that too -- even though I'm on the short side, I find the seats a bit low. And they seem to be a bit shallow, too, although at least that can be justified in that shallow seats in theory provide additional standing room. (But only in theory. In practice, they only provide additional standing room when nobody's sitting in them -- but if nobody's sitting in them, how much standing room do you need?)

That's funny. A lot of New Yorkers (who ride the cars on a regular basis), both here and elsewhere, have pointed out how ineffective the R-142 HVAC is.

The only ones saying how wonderful the R-142 HVAC is are the ones who say that everything new must be wonderful in all ways, including somebody posting from halfway across the country who only rides the subway on occasional visits to New York.

Maybe one day when that big ball of light in the sky decides to come out. The weather has been crappy as of late.

BTW, Yesterday I spotted one of those "Fishbowl" seats on the southbound Sea Beach platform at Bay Parkway. This was a four seater in charcoal gray with only two stainless steel armrests. This seat should have come out of the 3600-3900 series 1963 Fishbowl buses.
