R40 Slants and R40M - St. Louis didn't do a good job with the car bodies (like Budd did with the R32) and the slants are plain ugly with the gates that had to be added. I expect the R32's to outlast them. I used to hate R16's but they are long gone. |

True, but by the time I saw them for the first time, I'd already gotten used to seeing route and destination signs on the end bulkheads, and the BMT standards had neither. Plus I thought they looked just plain ugly. Mind you, I was all of ten when I first saw them and didn't know how durable and indestructible they were. |

R44: I really didn't like the side glass (windows?) on the doors, but that's just me. I also don't like the silver painted stripe, not as appealing as the pure steel on the R46. Ridewise, no real complaint, except a little bumpy at times, just a little.R68/A: For some reason, these cars are scratchitti targets all the time. And, they seem to drag too, but again, that's just me. R142s: I don't like these, but yet I like the R142As (Most of the 4's anyway). The R142s have aged very quickly to me, before they could really be put to use (A lot of the side signs on the ones I ride have some blackouts, but so do some of the R142As). Everything else, I have no complaint, except the rusting on the R38s. Gotta go. |

The only differences that I see are that the R160s and R143s have bent sides and the R160s have the FIND displays. |
