Two stations (Fort Hamilton, Church) remained incandescant until September 1987. The other underground stations got flourescents much earlier (before mid 1985). Those 2 stations were the last 2 underground stations to receive incandescents at platform level.

I remember seeing kids systematically breaking the incandescents on the southbound platform of Church Ave. one day in 1986, making the whole station dangerously dark.

Last time I was there, 63rd Drive still had the old bulbs in it's mezzanine. Continental also does, though it's augmented by flourescents at key points.

Then it must be the partial entrance covers I remember at Wall and Fulton Streets.

I remember the fluorescents at Ft Hamilton going on around 1989. The fixtures were up some time before they went on, though.

That's correct. Those were the station entrances characteristic of contract II stations. Many years ago there was a short lived TV series called simply "Flatbush" and one of the scenes showed the gang of teenagers who were central to the show congregating around an IRT kiosk. If the producers had done their homework, they would have known that Bkln IRT statins never had kiosks and the portions of the subway that did go through Flatbush had the modern type of subway entrance and not even the Contract II type.

September 1987, not 1989. I remember it well.
