Her last run out of Astoria was around 8:50, Arrived Coney Island at 10:05 and was Out of Service and headed for Coney Island Yard at 10:18PMEnjoy! The W train was not a reroute, it was probably the last of the 3 consecutive trains that are on the scheudle to run all the way down to 86th Street before being put OOS for laying up in CI yard.Very nice photos! |

August.17th,2006, posted by JBar387 on Fri Aug 18 17:05:13 2006. the last 3 W's go to kings highway. close it down, clean it out. t/o punches for the yard lineup, c/r waits for the next N train (which you can usually see the headlights) and then they take that to stillwell to sign out. the t/o signs out at the yard.its not listed in the timetable given out to the public but its on the work program. |

August.17th,2006, posted by monorail on Sat Aug 19 08:25:37 2006. not sure if its the same trainsets that go in service at kings highway am's that then go down to kings highway pm's but its a safe bet they are.heres the am put in's from coney island yard. i believe they run light to kings highway, i could be wrong. but on the schedule it lists them starting at 86 (then again it lists the pm's dropping out at 86 and they drop out at kings.) 86 - Ditmars 6:25 - 7:45 6:43 - 8:05 6:56 - 8:17 |
