Wasn't there a major derailment on the IRT 7th Avenue Line just south of Times Square? I believe that it occurred sometime in the late twenties. Larry, RedbirdR33 |

From google so you decided if AI is wrong:August 24, 1928 (Times Square): A downtown 10-car express train derailed just south of the Times Square station because a track switch was left unspiked and operated by an untrained clerk using a false identity. The crash caused 18 deaths and around 100 injuries, ranking as one of the deadliest accidents in New York City Subway history. |
