The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York is appointed by the PRESIDENT. The judge in this case is also a Trump appointee.Maybe if you had posted an article everyone would be able to see that Bragg had nothing to do with this. |

Yes, it is the legal system. If you don't like it, you can petition your Congressman and Senators to raise the sentencing guidelines and eliminate judicial discretion. |

But this case was brought at the Federal level so Federal laws apply. The case was prosecuted by a Federal prosecutor whose office is run by someone appointed by the current President. Therefore the presiding judge is a Federal judge who was reportedly appointed by the same President. The State government or any sentencing guidelines they might have in place did not apply here.Yes, the amount of time given to the perpetrator sucks but in this particular case, putting the blame on the local and state government and those in charge for the light sentence is misguided. |

If it deals in injustice, it's not the legal system. LOL at you thinking you can petition leftist legislators to make anything just. |

Oh I see, so there are no pro-crime democrats in the federal government? How about the one who wants to decriminalize strangulation or the one who wants to close all prisons. What part of PRO-Crime democrats don't you understand, piglet? |
