Heypaul: Thank you for posting this. I am surprised that I did not see Tunnelrat in any of the pictures.

He would have been 10 years old in the 1940's. He was probably out selling newspapers in the street.

Re the picture of the couple embracing at the 81st Street - Museum of Natural History station on the IND line: why is the station so dark? Where is that bright light coming from?

The astute student will note near their feet can be seen the bottom of a tripod holding the light source.
