Tuscarora Forgotten Station of the Week / No. 8 Camelot

New York Central Railroad
Hudson Division
Camelot Station
Abandoned: 1952

Camelot Station was located in Dutchess County, 67.5 miles from Grand Central Terminal. It was situated on the Hudson Division between the New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie stations. There were two short low level platforms and an overhead bridge for passengers. The platforms as well as the foundations for the bridge supports can still be seen today although the bridge itself is gone. It did not generate a lot of traffic and in 1944 was only served by about four trains.
