Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Sun Dec 21 08:43:22 2025 Tuscarora Almanac for December 21 1932 – from The Book of First Runs Service begins on the Ridge Avenue Subway in Philadelphia, PA. 1946 – from The Book of Last Runs This is the last day of trolley car service in Hershey, Pennsylvania . 1953 – from The Book of First Runs A loop track is placed in service just west of Franklin Avenue Station on the Newark City Subway. This loop will permit operation of the single ended PCC cars purchased from Twin City Rapid Transit. 1972 – from The Book of First Runs The M-1A "Metropolitans" electric multiple unit cars begin service today on Penn Central's Hudson Line.
