It was 63 years ago today that a water main break along 6th Ave. caused major disruptions on the IND in Manhattan. The C train was resurrected and a new DD service pattern was implemented. My take on this is, if the only way to get to Coney Island via the IND was along 8th Ave., they should have the following patterns:
A - unchanged
AA - 168th St. and Hudson Terminal, rush hours
BB - 168th St. and 34th St.-6th Ave., non-rush hours
C - 205th St. and Coney Island, non-rush hours, express in Manhattan between 145th St. and 59th St., via Houston St. and Rutgers tunnel
CC - Bedford Park and Coney Island, rush hours, via Houston St. and Rutgets tunnel
D - 205th St. and 34th St.-6th Ave., rush hours, express in Bronx peak direction, express in Manhattan between 145th St. and 59th St.
E - unchanged
F - Jamaica-179th St. and 34th St.-6th Ave., all times
GG - unchanged
HH - unchanged
