Nah, let’s talk about why there were no posts here from Tuesday to Friday.I don't know, but the QB's history is an interesting one that deserves discussion. I want a QB t-shirt, but the NYTM doesn't sell retro t-shirts AFAIK. |

I remember seeing an R-27/30 QB once, on a Saturday afternoon in October of 1967, as we raced it along Broadway on a n/b Norton train. It came to a stop at 23rd St. as we kept going. |

Like the first time I was on an R-42 on the LL from 8th Ave to DeKalb. Interesting that the QB ran on the weekend. I'm used to it being a rush-hour service in the 70's and 80's. |

After the Chrystie St. connection opened, the QB became a rush hour, peak direction service that ran as far as 57th St. It made local stops in Brooklyn, then ran express along Broadway. Brighton local riders complained about losing a one-seat ride to the Broadway line, since the normal Brighton local, the QJ, was routed up Nassau St.At first, the QJ operated on weekdays from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It ran express along Broadway-Brooklyn during rush hours in the peak direction, even bypassing Marcy Ave. Post-Chrystie it ran 24/7, but terminated at Broad St. during evenings, nights and weekends. It rode off into the sunset in January of 1973, replaced by the J. |

I was repeated getting errors or I would see posts and get errors when trying to click links. Nice to finally see the system up and running properly. |
