In the mid 90s, 63rd saw 3 different services (though only 1 at a time) depending on day and time:Orange Q to Brighton Beach weekdays B to West End evenings/weekends F to Culver overnight (the G went to 179th) Of course at the time there was no connection to Queens Blvd. But as of now and for the last 10-15 years the structure has been much neater with no route really taking any significant detours depending on day and time (not talking about branches or short-turns). In general, just either the route is running at a given time or it's not. The F/M swap would mean that the F becomes the only route to really have two different routes, so it would be the most complex route description to occur in quite some time. Actually, would this be the first time in history that a line's path is changed based on day of week without it involving a terminal? (All of the above not counting GOs/construction of course). |
