Rockaway Avenue station on the Fulton Street El is closed during night hours and at all times on weekends. No. 13 Futlon Street El trains will terminate at Eastern Parkway at these times. 1978- from The Book of First Runs A new station is opened on the New Jersey Transit Bergen County (former Erie Main Line) Line at MP 5.0. It is known as “Harmon Cove” and was built to serve the housing development of the same name. This station will close in August 2003 when the “Secaucus Junction” station opens. from The Book of First Runs A free passageway is opened between the Lexington Avenue-3rd Avenue station of the IND Queens Line (E, F) and the 51st Street station (6) of the IRT Lexington Avenue Line. That transfer at 51st/53rd/Lex is one of the worst in the system IMHO. The E/M platform is so deep and crowded and then it is a two block walk in a tunnel to 51st St, and then a crossover when you get there. |

The north end of the 6 platform is at 52nd street. And agreed, the cross-under is annoying, but it's only for access to/from the southbound 6. |

So much walking is necessary.Yes this transfer is a long one. But it's a very busy one. That is why I am against giving 6 trains a skip through 51 to make up time when running late. 51 should be treated like an 59, 42, and 14. |
