Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Sun May 18 05:52:50 2025 Tuscarora Almanac for May 18 1973 – from The Book of Wrecks A northbound #5 Lexington Av Express derailed south of Grand Central-42 Street Station about 10 PM. The first eight cars of the ten car train derailed. The consist was (n) 6239, 7912-7771, 7093, 6633, 7733, 5822, 6598, 7071and 7260 (s). Car 6239 sideswiped the wall and car 7771 hit the northbound local rail. 1988 – from The Book of First Runs The first train of R-68A’s entered test service today on the D-train. The consist was 5010-5001-5006-5008-5009-5007-5004-5005. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
