Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Sat May 17 07:20:23 2025 Tuscarora Almanac for May 17 2013 – from The Book of Wrecks Two trains of the new M-8 electric cars collide east of the Fairfield Metro station on the Metro-North New Haven Line. Over seventy passengers are injured. Train 1548 (GCT-NHV) derailed while operating on track 4. It was struck by train # 1581 (NHV-GCT) operating on track 2. Several of the new cars sustained varying degrees of damage. The consists were as follows; # 1548 - 9308-9, 9246-7, 9310-1 and 9174-5; # 1581 - 9193-2, 9259-8, 9145-4 and 9191-0. Larry, RedbirdR33 |

And for the Book of First Runs:On this date in 2019, Denver's Southeast Corridor Extension, from Lincoln Ave. to Ridgegate Parkway, opened. New stations opened at Sky Ridge Medical Center, Lone Tree City Center and Ridgegate Parkway. Originally, all three Southeast Corridor lines - E, F and R - terminated there. The F line is still suspended while R trains now terminate at Lincoln Ave. |
