Tuscarora Almanac for March 7

1990 – from The Book of Wrecks

A westbound Market-Frankford train in Philadelphia derailed in the tunnel about 240 feet west of the 30th Street Station. It was a six car consist of M-3 cars; (w)725-726, 817-818, 770-769.
The fourth car of the train, 818 split the switch and collided with the steel pillars.
Four passengers were killed and over one hundred and fifty injured.

And as it was later reported,. the T/O tested positive for drugs (I forget which, it actually made the national news then).

He tested positive for Cocaine but it wasn't a factor in the crash.
