Well, I did use BART last Sunday to go into SF to hear the Mermern whom I have been going to hear for well over 30 years.. They were way cool, the Light show was good, and the venue has a serious history of excellent music, and before that, a location in a Dashiell Nammett story.

Proof this site is essentially abandoned. Enjoy whatever works when it works till it disappears for good.

How hard can it be to come up with a hilarty clinton style bathroom server to run this site?
I wonder if it can be done on a virtual node. One just needs the domain and either a garage sale server, or a virtual sub.
How much bandwidth can a text site use? All the images are hotlinked so no issue there.

The only problem I can see is all the death threats. Railman was telling me how he wanted to be Hamas and burn me and then rape me right before the board went dark.

Otherwise, it could be possible to do take over on the cheap I imagine.

No, the board was still running. Once every 10, 20, 30 tries you could get the index, read, or post a message.

Maybe it cost a lot of money to get the board fixed.

Sounds extremely unlikely. There was tons of unpleasant stuff he could have reefed and never did. And then he would have shut it down, not left it barely alive and unusable.
