My guess is that they need the room at 207 for the R211. We are in day 18 of the 30 day test and so far so good. Once it passes I'm also guessing they'll start coming fast. |

So 6150/6151 are done, I wonder what happens with 6152/6153. I suppose they could fill the same role as 6206/6207. Or.....Connect 6152/3 to 6206/7, voila, a new 4-car set! |

This is infact exactly what they did. 6152-6153-6207-6206 has been a linked set for a few years now.Looks like despite 6150 receiving an experimental redesigned interior after being taken OOS it's headed for scrap. |

What do they do with it at Concourse Yard. Wouldn't it go to NJ by way of the SBRR via the Bay Ridge branch like the R32's did (or down 1st Ave. from 39th Street from the 4th Ave line)? |

MTA didn't wait for the 30 day testing to conclude.Production cars have already been delivered, with more coming. The MTA knew the cars would be ready for service awhile ago. Testing for almost 2 years, correcting issues as soon as they developed, changing out components that failed...they went over these cars with a fine tooth comb. As of Today, so far there are very little problems with the R211A cars. Expect a new train to be placed in service very soon. |

Even if the 30 day test fails for some reason, it is likely after all the testing already done it won't be a major part and they could fix it on site rather than Nebraska. Kawasaki probably needs to free up space and is chomping at the bit to get deliveries going. I don't know how the contract is structured for payment but I'm sure that has a lot to do with it too. |
