New York City Transit Updated November 30, 2022 3:16 p.m. After the success of its first-ever pop-up sale in 2021, New York City Transit will once again hold a grab-and-go sale of transit memorabilia on December 7, 8, and 9. You can purchase perfectly imperfect items — subway signs, grabholds, and more — in person, without processing fees. Details Date: Wednesday, December 7; Thursday, December 8; and Friday, December 9 Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Location: South Brooklyn — you must RSVP for the address RSVP: Please use this form to RSVP. Email Asset.Recovery@nyct.com with any questions Know before you go This event is pick-up only — we will not ship items. The event will take place outdoors. The event is open to the public, including MTA employees. We will accept only Visa and Mastercard for payments. There are no processing fees. "Grab and go" is really not a phrase you want to use if you are running a store, because people might decide to do just that, without paying. I guess keeping the location confidential will minimize that problem, but it still seems like a foolish term. |

Last year (after I went there and didn't buy anything), there was a listing of the items that were to be sold. I found it later. Parking in that area is hard, there is ASP there. Last year it wasn't on a Wednesday when ASP is not in affect. There was also a food pantry near that location, the TA sight was around the corner. |
