Lol . . . they've been saying this for ¾-century now. It'll never get built.

Just ten years ago, BTW, they were calling this "Metro North".

“When operations commence, there will be trains every three minutes during peak periods. This can rise to a service every 90 seconds by 2060 with the system capable of carrying up to 20,000 passengers per hour in each direction. For comparison, Luas Green Line can carry circa 9,000 passengers per direction per hour.” …
Well, ain't that dandy. The Luas Green Line is built on the former Harcourt Street Railway, which could have carried more than even the projected "Metrolink" capacity if it had been rebuilt as DART. Strangely enough, the route south to the Charlemont area suggests the future takeover of the Luas Green Line, which will never be re-extended to Bray (its former terminus) to connect with the DART there.

    If it ever exists.

They've spent all this time figuring out how to make this project more expensive, and nothing more. Could have built this as DART instead, so it could have reconnected to the general railway network at Bray as it was originally.
