Wall St was renovated, probably in the '70s prior to the designation, with dark blue brick walls. People refer to them as "blue tiles" but they're clearly bricks:

In 2006 the station was un-renovated and lovingly re-renovated in its original 1904 style:

I forgot about the blue bricks. At least they didn’t cover over the mosaics like with the BMT “refrigerator tile” of the 1970s.

It is currently owned by Con Edison and is now a steam generation plant only. There is no longer any electrical power generation equipment there.

Yes, it was given the designation in 2004.

Using the LPC link I put in Avenue H as the keyword and selected Brooklyn as the borough.

Some of those are just random. Why 15th Street and Elmhurst Avenue?

Why 15th Street and Elmhurst Avenue?

They had met certain criteria that the NRHP and National Park Service had established and designated to fulfill the necessary requirements.

What is unique about 79th and Broadway that makes it a landmark?

The LPC doesn't indicate why.

I guess there are some architectural elements that prompted the designation.
