I do agree with those who say the continuing mask requirement is foolish. But the U.S. still requires masks on public transportation too, doesn't it?Is the use of this ArriveCAN site going to continue being required once the pandemic is officially history? It calls itself part of Canada's effort to "modernize" its border, so that suggests yes. That would be very unfortunate; one of the nice things about the U.S./Canada border was that you didn't need to make advance plans to cross it, you could just show up (with the proper I.D.) and go. In fact, my understanding was that they only started requiring passports or "enhanced" licences/I.D. cards from U.S. visitors because the U.S. was requiring them for reentry from Canada. A real pity if that is gone forever. |

Even N95 masks are to stop an infected person from transmitting and have to be changed frequently and disposed of in an autoclave to be effective. They do not prevent any wearer from being infected.
