MTA will also install ... digital information screens When the B-division countdown clocks were first installed a few years ago, the only Astoria N/W clock on the upper level was installed next to the Flushing track. I reported it to the TA back then, but it has never been corrected. In all this time, no TA supervisor has noticed it? Later, when the #7 clocks were installed on the upper level, two of the three were correctly placed next to the Flushing track, but the middle one is next to the Astoria track. How hard is it to get this right? And the article keeps referring to the "elevated platform", as if there's only one. Don't they know there are two, stacked one above the other? |

It has been 35 years since N trains provided any scheduled service along the Queens Blvd corridor.Service started in August 1976 (to replace EE service) and ended May 24, 1987 when the N and R switched terminals. CBTC is going to have to be inactivated along QB in order for the traffic to accommodate R46 on the N. |

Those countdown clocks are half-assed. There's a bunch for the 7 but like one for the N/W, and it is in the middle of the platform.Cuomo said the MTA would installed them at each station before the end of the year (2018 or 2019). Of course, how many or where they were placed was irrelevant, so long as they could they accomplished that goal. I was in Montreal a couple of weeks ago. They have many screens and monitors per platform, at consistent distances, and with nothing in the way. |

Plenty of Laid up R160s along the Korridor that can be used... They got a year to get this right.. |

Wonder if they would even grab the 8-car M trains sets that are out of use for the weekend ?Is it true, they leave those on the Hillside tracks, and tend not to go to the yard ? |

Wonder if they would even grab the 8-car M trains sets that are out of use for the weekend ?No most likely not that would just cause issues down the line past the Korridor.. Is it true, they leave those on the Hillside tracks, and tend not to go to the yard ? Not enough Room in the Junkyard for those trains so they lay em up mainline... |

It'll mostly likely be all R160s.If the F to Euclid and Full Length G to Coney can run on a weekend with 100% R160s, then so can just the N to Forest Hills. Anything can happen though, it is going to be a year until then after all. |

Since only the platforms and mezzanine, not the tracks, will be affected why can't they simply run the trains through without stopping and run shuttle buses to and from the nearest stations on the Flushing and Astoria lines? That's what they did on the Jamaica Av J/Z. |
