Steam railroad service begins between Fulton Street-Van Sinderen Avenue and the Canarsie Landing. Today we know this as the Canarsie Line which is served by the “L” train.

Thank you, as always.

When I lived in Westchester (1995-99), I noticed that many of the cast iron poles that held trolley wire were still in existence, and now being used as ordinary utility poles. I wonder if that's still the case.

This was particularly noticeable along Route 119.
