New Subway Map Test

Posted by gp38/r42 chris on Wed Oct 13 15:06:42 2021

I sure hope not, as the current map is way easier to read. It's no wonder the current map is the longest running map....
Leave well enough alone!!

The one on the right is fine.
Is the MTA so over-staffed that they have nothing else to do ?

If you look at that new 'live' map that the MTA is pushing on their site you'll see that that map also shows each route as a separate line.

A waste of money as far a I am concerned. All those lines are not necessary.

I like the new map. The schematic one, not the other one.

There has been an undercurrent of support for the Vignelli ap for years, apparently influenced by those who are convinced that that map was a "work of art."

So was "Tilted Arc," which was a horror in its location.

They're prejudicing the issue by placing the schematic map, next to a map so busy that it's hard to find the Subway lines.

Better they should place the schematic map next to a Hagstrom - style map.
