Avid:The order is split into two five-car sets (8001–8005 and 8006–8010) that are permanently coupled together. Each car is 51 feet 4 inches (15.65 m) like other A Division subway cars.[3] At each end of the five-car set, there is a full-width cab. The cab cars are powered by four traction motors each. The center car of each five-car set is an unpowered trailer, and the other two cars are powered by two traction motors each.[4][5]: 62 A small correction my friend. All five cars on the R-110A sets had motors. It s the center car of the R-110B's that was a trailer, 3002, 3005, 3008. Nevertheless thank you for this interesting history. Larry, RedbirdR33 |

Damn, that speed reading course let me go right past that error.I gnu that about the R110B's, and wondered why the r/110B's center cars were unpowered in the first place. Thanks for the catch. |

I'm very disappointed to read that all of the remaining A cars will be converted to pump trains, was hoping at least one of the cars would donated to a museum. |
