That sounds like a lot of work when all they have to do is rent the one unit they need to just drive the train straight through it.

When I was a kid, I wanted to live in that building when I grew up. I rode by there last month and I think the whole Ravenswood flyover is a hoax...

Must be a fairly sharp curve if the train needs to slow that much.

WMATA moved the The Adas Israel synagogue in Washington DC to allow for the construction of the Jackson Graham Building. The synagogue has been moved twice sense then.

I would not have thought you could move such a building without it falling apart.

They must have demolished some buildings when they rebuilt the Fullerton and Belmont staions.

No mention of if anyone was living there. I guess not, but if it is empty, they should say so. I'm wondering how long it will take to get all utilities hooked up again at the building's new location.

The news report say it's empty, but that CTA plans to sell it! Good for them - a win-win: El service improved, historic building preserved, CTA monetizes an asset, and people get homes!

LOL. I guess the statue of limitations has run out, but I have a friend of mine that lives just north of Addison northbound, and every year in December I would stop my train, and through his Christmas can on his porch.

I still remember when the 4000s ruled that line. I once remarked to my aunt that it would be cool to ride on one, to which she said, "It doesn't stop anywhere!" Back then, they ran nonstop from Howard to Merchandise Mart.

Slight correction, the Evanston Express after it left Howard St. made stops at Morse and Loyola Loop bound in the morning, rush, and express from Merchandise Mart to Howard in the morning, and the opposite for the afternoon rush.
