They have already done so with the MP54. Looks like the DD1 is next. That is an unfair comment. The staff and volunteers have worked very hard to make it into a first class museum. They built a massive display hall that houses many pieces of equipment. Nevertheless it take a great deal of money plus time and effort to place all the exhibits under cover. So unfortunately some pieces will remain in the open for the time being. Maybe you should consider volunteering down there or making a contribution. They certainly could use the help. The Reading car they have inside looked mostly intact, but would need the electric guts rebuilt (if it's a dry transformer, no PCBs, so there's that going for it.). Naturally, the DD-1 has no PCBs, since it's a DC unit (no transformer)
