Previous inaugurations had plexiglass shields in place. I'm guessing that the plexiglass will be all-encompassing, so that there is no direct line of sight from anywhere external to any of the VIPs. Or at least, any place with direct line of sight (like maybe the dome of the Capitol) will be heavily patrolled. |

A small, moving target.Kennedy's limousine was moving slowly on a predictable path and Oswald was shooting from a distance of less than 100 feet. Today hunters routinely take shots of 500+ yards, on animals that can move suddenly and unpredictably, and the vital zone of a deer or pronghorn antelope isn't much if at all larger than a person's head. Of course no one is going to get anywhere close to the inauguration without proper credentials and going through metal detectors. |

True, but most hunters don't hunt with Italian made bolt-action rifles. For Oswald to get off three shots, one thru his throat & the "kill" shot to the head at a moving target in that space of time while working that bolt and maintaining aim requires experience & skill with working cumbersome weapons. |
