I was wondering about this. I was at a performance and could hear the trains go by a lot more often than normal for a weekend, and expresses too. |

Between Ditmars Blvd and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr (via Lower Manhattan local) and via the express to/from Brighton Beach, every 12 minutes days and evenings. 2. Based on the ridership I've seen on both (N) and (Q) trains this weekend along the Brighton Line, I think that having a Brighton Express service on the weekends would be useful. I thought that it should have been the case long ago (pre-covid), but the (B) should be considered to operate on weekends when the financial situation gets better. |

Q service can be quite crowded on weekends in normal times. However I fear that there's such a maintenance backlog that it would often be adjusted or canceled to the point of uselessness, much like the situation with the last few years of the G to 71 Av before the Court Sq cutback was made permanent. |

How much of this extra crowd ws people using the only trains running (F, Q or rerouted N) to take a crosstown bus to their destination, to avoid the N/R/D shutdown along 4th Ave? |

So my experience to and from work Sat/Sun.If I waited the four minutes for the N train northbound after the Q left we met at 42nd Street. If I took the N which came first at 42nd street we would be held at Prince for a Q to go in front and we would meet at Newkirk. I took the N both ways even with it making more stops in Manhattan as I guess the less stops in Brooklyn made time. |

So the N took the bridge? Another post in this thread mentioned it would use Lower Manhattan Local. But if it took the bridge, then yes you do save more time with Brighton Express (5 to 6 minutes) rather than with Broadway Express (2 to 3 minutes) once on board the train and if you have to choose between the two. |
