Jamaica E Track Reconstruction Cross-honoring with LIRR

"Show your MetroCard to board at Jamaica, Kew Gardens, Forest Hills, Queens Village, Hollis, Rosedale, Laurelton, Locust Manor, St. Albans, and Penn Station."

Has anyone tried that out yet, just showing the LIRR conductor a Metrocard to ride between NYPS and Jamaica ?

The E line G.O didn't start yet


I have tried it with G.O's in the past and quite a few times the LIRR C/R wasn't aware of the cross honor. LIRR crew rooms don't have bulletins alerting the LIRR conductors of such things?

I plan on being out that way on Sep 26th. Perhaps I should bring a printout of the travel advisory.

I usually show the G.O on mta.info to the C/R on my phone if they don't believe me.

Typically crosshonoring is informed by Supervision over radio approaching Jamaica. The are STS notices that should inform this, currently one hasn't been issued. But it is in the company magazine...so I'm sure someone read that. The article says a notice is coming soon, so there shouldn't be any problems.

I've do it the other way ... showed my LIRR ticket & gained free access to subway ... there was an agent at Jamaica subway station.
